Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 June 2026
Your trust matters. This policy describes how Parley handles your data — it is a placeholder draft and should be reviewed by counsel before launch.
1. Overview
This policy explains what information Parley collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account information you provide (such as name and email), your negotiation settings and preferences, and usage data needed to run and improve the Service.
3. Email & inbox data
When you connect a mailbox, Parley accesses incoming vendor-related messages to identify negotiation opportunities and to send replies you approve. We request the minimum access needed: read-only to start, and the ability to send only once you explicitly enable it. We do not read unrelated personal mail, and we do not sell your data. Access is via your provider’s secure OAuth and can be revoked at any time.
4. How we use information
To provide and operate the Service — classifying vendor emails, drafting replies, tracking renewals and savings — to support you, and to maintain security. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we instruct our AI provider not to retain or train on it.
5. Data sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate (such as cloud hosting, our AI model provider, and our payment processor), each bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations, or where required by law.
6. Data retention
You control how long your data is kept. In Settings you can choose to retain data for as long as your account is active, or set an automatic deletion window (for example 30, 60, or 90 days). You can also request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Email credentials are never stored — only the OAuth tokens needed to operate your connection, which are encrypted at rest. Sensitive account actions are logged with their originating location so you can review recent security activity, and you can revoke access at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for authentication and core functionality. We do not use non-essential tracking cookies without your consent.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy and will communicate material changes. Questions or requests can be sent to support@parley.deal.
